The fresh capital will be leveraged to expand its genomics laboratory network globally and scale its AI-led oncology platform, OncoTwin.

Precision oncology startup 4baseCare has closed its Series B funding at INR 128 crore, including a fresh top-up round of INR 38 crore led by growX Ventures and Infosys, with participation from existing investors.

The fresh capital will be leveraged to expand its genomics laboratory network globally and scale its AI-led oncology platform, OncoTwin.

In addition, the new capital is also intended to improve access to precision oncology for underrepresented populations across India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and other emerging markets.

Founded in 2019 by Hitesh Goswami and Kshitij Rishi, 4baseCare develops genomics-based cancer diagnostics and AI-powered clinical decision support solutions.

Its flagship platform, OncoTwin, is designed to enable oncologists to derive treatment insights using clinico-genomic and real-world patient data.

The platform uses multimodal datasets, including genomic, pathology, radiology, and clinical information, to create “digital twins” of cancer patients and match them with similar treatment journeys and outcomes.

The latest capital infusion comes months after the Bengaluru-based start-up raised INR 90 crore in the first close of its Series B round from investors including Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, and Yali Capital.

Commenting on the latest development, 4baseCare cofounder and CEO Hitesh Goswam said, “We want precision oncology globally to be more inclusive. Most genomic datasets, drug discovery, and clinical trials are still heavily concentrated in the US and Europe. We are building solutions for underrepresented populations across India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.”

“The additional capital will help us expand our genomics lab network globally and further scale OncoTwin, our AI-based precision oncology platform, to support clinicians with deeper, real-world, clinically actionable insights,” he added.

Currently, the startup operates laboratories in India, Dubai, Nepal, and the Philippines, with further plans to expand its footprint in 8–10 additional countries over the next 12–18 months.

In addition to global, the startup is expanding its in-hospital genomics lab model through its recent partnerships with healthcare institutions such as AIIMS Jammu, Max Healthcare, and Shankara Hospital.

Further, the startup conducts around 1,500 genomic tests every month and expects volumes to increase to 8,000-10,000 tests per month as it scales its footprint.

In a recent development, the Bengaluru-based startup entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to establish a Centre of Excellence for Precision Oncology, focusing on integrating genomic-based cancer care into the public healthcare system.
