Ouma Health and Millennium Medical Group Launch Perinatal Link for Community Hospitals

Ouma Health and Millennium Medical Group (MMG) have launched Perinatal Link, a telehealth program that combines maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) and neonatology services for community hospitals and critical access facilities with Level 1 and Level 2 nurseries.
The program is designed to provide affordable, real-time tele-MFM and tele-neonatology services to hospitals delivering fewer than 1,000 babies annually, a segment the companies said has historically lacked access to specialist telehealth services due to high costs.
According to the companies, existing tele-MFM and tele-neonatology programs have primarily been designed for large health systems, making them financially inaccessible for smaller hospitals where high-risk deliveries also occur.
“Community hospitals have been underserved by the existing tele-MFM market for too long as our industry decided years ago that a hospital delivering 400 babies wasn’t worth serving. We think those 400 mothers disagree,” said Sina Haeri, MD, MHSA, CEO of Ouma Health.
Haeri added that the partnership with MMG enables the companies to offer “a single, affordable, fully integrated MFM and neonatology solution” for community hospitals.
Snehal Doshi, MD, CEO of Millennium Medical Group, said neonatal emergencies can occur in any setting and that the collaboration is intended to provide a comprehensive perinatal support model for smaller hospitals.
Through a single contract, participating hospitals will receive live maternal-fetal medicine consultations across the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum continuum, along with real-time tele-neonatology support for neonatal resuscitation, stabilization, management, and transport decisions.
The program also includes coordinated MFM and neonatology support for complex cases, evidence-based clinical protocols and transfer criteria tailored to individual hospitals, documentation and order communication integrated into existing workflows, and no technology or platform fees.
The companies said the program combines the expertise of both organizations with a pricing model developed specifically for hospitals with fewer than 1,000 annual deliveries.
Ouma Health is a physician-led maternity telehealth practice providing care from preconception through postpartum across all 50 US states.
