By expanding its digital platform, Oura aims to provide users with more meaningful health insights that help them stay engaged throughout their care journey.

Eli Lilly has invested in wearable health technology company Oura to accelerate the development of digital health tools designed to support more connected, personalized, and continuous care.

The investment is expected to help Oura expand its health insights platform by combining biometric data with everyday behaviors and medical treatment, particularly for people managing chronic conditions.

Oura said the new investment aligns with its vision of building health experiences that are more responsive to how people live every day.

The company recently introduced GLP-1 Insights, a feature that combines wearable biometric information with medication-specific context, with more than 100,000 members having already logged GLP-1 use within the Oura App.

The feature allows users to observe how their sleep, activity, recovery, stress, and other health indicators change over time alongside treatment.

The company believes that health outcomes are influenced not only by medicines but also by daily routines, behaviors, and biometric patterns.

By expanding its digital platform, Oura aims to provide users with more meaningful health insights that help them stay engaged throughout their care journey.

Jennifer Mazur, senior vice president of U.S. LillyDirect and Consumer Services at Eli Lilly, said, “At Lilly, we're thinking about what patients need throughout their entire care journey, not just at the point of prescription but in the daily moments that shape long-term success. This is about building a more complete ecosystem around the patient.”

Separately, Oura and LillyDirect have also announced a collaboration to support people using prescribed GLP-1 therapies for obesity and diabetes.

Eligible LillyDirect customers can receive a complimentary Oura Ring sizing kit, while the companies aim to combine treatment resources with wearable health tracking.

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
