Bihar Inaugurates INR 215 Cr 400-bed Orthopaedic & Neuro Super Speciality Block at LNJP Hospital Patna

The facility has been equipped with modern medical infrastructure to support orthopaedic and neurological diagnosis, treatment, surgery, emergency care, and rehabilitation services.
The Bihar government has inaugurated the 400-bed Orthopaedic and Neuro Super Speciality Block at Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital (LNJP) in Rajvanshi Nagar, Patna.
Constructed for INR 215 Cr, the facility has been established with orthopaedic, neurological, trauma, critical care, and rehabilitation services under one roof.
Following the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the hospital's departments, reviewed the medical equipment installed at the facility, and interacted with admitted patients regarding the treatment and healthcare services being provided.
The Chief Minister of Bihar, Samrat Choudhary, said, "The state govt's objective is to provide world-class, quality healthcare to the people of Bihar within the state."
He further said, "The launch of the modern hospital would ensure that patients suffering from serious orthopaedic conditions no longer need to depend on institutions in other states for treatment."
According to the state government, the hospital includes modular operation theatres, an intensive care unit, a sports injury centre, an advanced radiology department, MRI services, physiotherapy and occupational therapy units, trauma and emergency services, outpatient facilities, a plaster room, therapy rooms, and a minor operation theatre.
The government stated that the facility has been equipped with modern medical infrastructure to support orthopaedic and neurological diagnosis, treatment, surgery, emergency care, and rehabilitation services.
Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital is one of Bihar's government healthcare institutions providing tertiary care services, and the current project forms part of the state's ongoing investment in strengthening public healthcare infrastructure.
