Cloudnine Hospitals Leads Race to Acquire Apollo Cradle in INR 1,500 Cr Deal

The hospital signed an exclusivity agreement and initiated due diligence for Apollo Cradle about two weeks ago.

India’s one of the leading maternity and paediatric care chains, Cloudlnine Hospitals, is reportedly in advanced talks to acquire Apollo Cradle & Children’s Hospital Ltd (ACCHL) in a deal valued at approximately ₹1,500 crore.

Reportedly, the hospital signed an exclusivity agreement and initiated due diligence for Apollo Cradle about two weeks ago. Other contenders in the acquisition race include Asia Healthcare Holdings (AHH), backed by TPG Growth, and Kedaara Capital.

Apollo Cradle, a unit of Apollo Specialty Hospitals, operates 13 maternity and infant care centres with a total capacity of 363 beds in key markets including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Amritsar, and Uttar Pradesh. According to its annual report, in the last fiscal year, the company revealed a net loss of INR 40 Lakh.

Cloudnine, founded in 2006 by neonatologist R. Kishore Kumar, along with Rohit MA, M. Ramachandra, and Vidya Kumar, is a Bengaluru-based maternity and pediatric healthcare provider that currently operates 40 centers across major Indian cities. The chain had reportedly added seven new centres in FY25 and plans to open another six to seven this fiscal year.
