City Imaging & Clinical Labs Deploys VITROS 5600 System to Enhance Diagnostic Accuracy & Speed

The VITRO system can perform up to 900 tests per hour and supports more than 160 assays, enabling the platform to cover the majority of routine lab diagnostics and ensure faster turnaround times for patients.

New Delhi-based City Imaging & Clinical Labs has unveiled the next-generation VITROS 5600 Integrated System, a fully automated platform that integrates clinical chemistry and immunoassay testing within a single system to boost diagnostic accuracy and speed.

The new facility is aimed at strengthening the delivery of dependable, patient-focused diagnostic services supported by advanced and innovative technology.

The System is designed to handle both chemistry and immunoassay assays concurrently by leveraging a single sample tube, which is expected to reduce manual handling and minimize the risk of pre-analytical errors.

Further, the system features technologies such as dry-slide chemistry and chemiluminescence detection, offering stable calibration, fewer interferences, and high sensitivity for hormone and immunoassay tests. These features aim to support the delivery of reliable, high-quality data for clinical decision-making.

Reportedly, the VITRO system can perform up to 900 tests per hour and supports more than 160 assays, enabling the platform to cover the majority of routine lab diagnostics and ensure faster turnaround times for patients.

Speaking about the significance of the installation, Dr. Sunita, CEO & Chief Pathologist, City Imaging & Clinical Labs, “Our priority has always been to provide results that clinicians can trust. The VITROS 5600 gives us stronger accuracy, fewer interferences, and greater consistency across tests. Faster results are an added advantage that our patients will appreciate.”

Founded in 2014, City Imaging & Clinical Labs (CICL) provides a broad portfolio of diagnostic and pathology services, including radiology, clinical laboratory testing, hospital laboratory management (HLM), and research and clinical trial support.

Over the past year, the diagnostic provider expanded its HLM operations to more than 10 hospitals and has outlined plans to expand these services to approximately 50 hospitals by 2027.
