Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has inaugurated the 600-bedded multi-speciality Lalitha PVS Hospital in Guntur, reinforcing the State's focus on expanding access to advanced healthcare services while accelerating the adoption of digital health initiatives.
The facility brings together a broad range of specialities under one roof and is expected to enhance healthcare access for residents across the region.
The newly established hospital, located in Takkellapadu, spans 7 acres and offers medical services across 32 departments.
According to officials, the institution has begun operations with a workforce of approximately 900 employees, including healthcare professionals, technical staff, and support personnel.
The facility has been designed to provide comprehensive care ranging from diagnostics and specialist consultations to advanced treatment services.
The Chief Minister noted that the hospital houses an advanced MRI system, which he described as one of the most sophisticated installations available in South India.
Moreover, Chandrababu Naidu highlighted the upcoming rollout of the Sanjeevani programme, a digital health records initiative intended to provide citizens with seamless access to predictive, preventive, and curative healthcare services.
The programme is expected to support better continuity of care, improve healthcare data management, and strengthen patient outcomes through a more connected health ecosystem.
Emphasising the government's healthcare vision, Chandrababu Naidu said that healthy citizens are essential for building a healthy, wealthy, and happy Andhra Pradesh.
