Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is set to inaugurate the Lalitha PVS Institute of Medical Sciences on June 3, marking the launch of a state-of-the-art multi-speciality healthcare facility designed to deliver advanced, technology-enabled medical care and strengthen tertiary healthcare services in Andhra Pradesh.
The new institute represents a significant milestone for the Lalitha Group of Hospitals, a healthcare network established in 1990 that has served patients across urban and rural communities for more than three decades.
Over the years, the group has expanded its clinical capabilities while maintaining a focus on affordable and comprehensive speciality care.
According to Dr P.V. Raghava Sarma, chairman of the institute and a renowned cardiologist, the facility has been developed to address evolving healthcare demands through the integration of advanced clinical technologies and evidence-based treatment approaches.
"The Lalitha PVS Institute of Medical Sciences is designed to meet the healthcare challenges of the future. We have integrated advanced medical technologies, precision medicine, preventive healthcare programmes and evidence-based treatment protocols to ensure world-class care for patients," Dr Raghava Sarma said.
The institute has been equipped with more than 40 clinical departments covering a broad spectrum of medical and surgical specialities.
In addition to specialist services, the facility offers round-the-clock diagnostic support, emergency and trauma care, intensive and critical care units, pharmacy services, and a range of allied healthcare functions aimed at supporting seamless patient management.
"Our vision is to provide accessible, affordable and technologically advanced healthcare while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. The institute combines expert medical professionals, cutting-edge infrastructure and modern clinical practices to serve people from across the region," he added.
Dr Vijaya, former president of the Indian Stroke Association (ISA), highlighted the facility's readiness to address the state's growing healthcare requirements through advanced equipment and patient-focused services.
She stated that the hospital is equipped with world-class amenities and advanced medical equipment to address the growing healthcare needs of Andhra Pradesh.
