Bengaluru-based O-Health Raises Funding to Expand Clinical AI Platform

The fresh infusion of funds will be utilized to support R&D to boost patient assessment capabilities and develop consultation-ready AI solutions within India.

Bengaluru-based clinical AI startup O-Health has raised fresh funding from Dr Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals, to accelerate development of its edge-enabled AI models and clinical hardware.

Other investors included Singapore-based BugleRock Capital, Perpetual Capital, led by Pranav Prashant and Anvita Prashant, Ankit Nagori of Curefoods, and Varun Dua of ACKO.

O-Health develops a voice-first clinical AI platform that turns doctor-patient conversations into structured clinical notes and assessment reports in real time. The platform operates on a proprietary medical speech recognition system and a suite of small language models (SLMs), rather than relying on large foreign AI models or paid external application programming interfaces (APIs).

The models run on edge hardware installed inside hospitals and clinics, enabling patient data to remain on-site

This architecture is designed to reduce response latency and maintain system functionality during internet connectivity disruptions, particularly in district hospitals and rural healthcare facilities.

As per reports, the startup plans to leverage the fresh capital to fulfil its existing order book and expand deployments across both private and public healthcare.

Further, the fresh funding will be utilized to boost its on-device AI models and the clinical hardware required to run them.

It will also support research aimed at strengthening patient assessment capabilities and developing consultation-ready AI solutions within India.

However, the financial details are yet to be disclosed.

Founded by Arunoday Singh and Akshar KR, O-Health has reportedly completed more than 50,000 clinical consultations on its platform. Its deployments include private healthcare facilities such as Yashoda Medicity in Delhi NCR.

As per reports, the startup is exploring pilots with state health authorities and has a research collaboration with MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). It has additionally received a grant from the Gates Foundation.
