ASMS Signs Deal with Huwel to Scale Footprint in TB Diagnostics

ASMS will also receive a defined share of net project revenues generated through business development

Avio Smart Market Stack (ASMS), formerly Bartronics India, has signed a Share Subscription-cum-Shareholders’ Agreement with Hyderabad-based Huwel Lifesciences aimed at enhancing public tuberculosis (TB) diagnostics opportunities across India.

The agreement is built on an earlier MoU signed between the two companies in September, 2025. Under the partnership agreement, ASMS will acquire a minority stake in Huwel and support the business development and project execution in the TB diagnostics.

Through the partnership, ASMS seeks to expand its footprint in healthcare and diagnostic-linked opportunities.

Additionally, ASMS will also receive a defined share of net project revenues generated through business development.

Further, Huwel’s flagship TB diagnostic platform, the Quantiplus MTB FAST, has been in the spotlight for its cost advantage.

Recent assessments indicate the platform can deliver a molecular TB diagnostic accurately and offers a comparatively lower per-test cost.

The solution is designed to operate on “open” RT-PCR machines, allowing integration with a large base of PCR machines that were installed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is expected to minimize the need for proprietary hardware or significant additional capital expenditure and support the expansion of TB testing capacity in public health programmes.
