The company is also evaluating the possibility of manufacturing surgical imaging systems in India in line with the government's Make in India initiative.
Aprameya Medtech, a Gujarat-based medical equipment manufacturing company, has entered into an exclusive partnership with SonoScape Medical India to bring advanced surgical imaging and minimally invasive surgery technologies to hospitals across Southern and Western India.
The agreement marks a significant step for Aprameya Medtech, a subsidiary of Gujarat-based Aprameya Engineering, as it expands beyond healthcare infrastructure projects into high-value medical equipment and clinical technology solutions.
Through the collaboration, Aprameya Medtech will exclusively market and distribute SonoScape’s minimally invasive surgery (MIS) portfolio in the region.
Founded in 2002 by medical engineers Saurabh Bhatt and Chetan Joshi, Aprameya Engineering has built its business around supplying healthcare technology and infrastructure solutions through partnerships with global and Indian medical device manufacturers.
The company has steadily expanded its footprint in India's healthcare sector, supporting hospitals with equipment, installation, maintenance, and after-sales services.
Under the new arrangement, Aprameya Medtech will offer a range of surgical visualization systems designed for different levels of healthcare facilities.
The portfolio includes SonoScape’s flagship 4K NIR 3D platform for tertiary care and oncology centres, 4K fluorescence-guided imaging systems for advanced surgical procedures, ultra-high-definition camera platforms for multi-speciality hospitals, and full-HD systems aimed at cost-conscious hospitals in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
The offering also includes rigid endoscopes, laparoscopes, telescopes, insufflators, and related accessories that support minimally invasive procedures.
The partnership brings together Aprameya Medtech’s hospital network and service capabilities with SonoScape’s global technology expertise.
Headquartered in Shenzhen, China, SonoScape develops solutions across ultrasound imaging, endoscopy, minimally invasive surgery, and cardiovascular intervention.
The company serves healthcare providers in more than 170 countries and regions and operates seven global research and development centres located in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Wuhan, Tuttlingen, Tokyo, San Francisco, and Seattle. Its innovation portfolio is supported by more than 1,000 patents.
Aprameya Medtech said it plans to establish a dedicated MIS business vertical covering clinical demonstrations, surgeon training, installation, technical support, and after-sales service.
The company is also evaluating the possibility of manufacturing surgical imaging systems in India in line with the government's Make in India initiative.
A planned 45,000-square-foot facility, expected to become operational by the end of FY2026-27, could support future localisation efforts.
