Agfa Launches DURAMI for Mobile X-Ray Imaging

The portable radiology solution enables immediate review of images and supports seamless connectivity with hospital IT infrastructure, including PACS, HIS, and RIS systems

Global medtech company with a strong presence in India, Agfa Radiology Solutions has introduced DURAMI, a new mobile X-ray imaging system designed to bring high-quality diagnostic imaging directly to the patient’s bedside for critical care settings.

The radiology solution features a compact and lightweight design, along with flexible positioning capabilities, which are expected to enable healthcare professionals to navigate narrow corridors and tight spaces within hospitals and clinics.

Its narrow width and ease of mobility are designed to support single-operator handling and support timely imaging during an emergency.

Further, the DURAMI’s capabilities are integrated with Agfa’s MUSICA image processing software, which automatically adjusts to varying anatomical structures and exposure conditions to deliver consistent, high-contrast images.

This integration seeks to optimize radiation dose, maintaining image clarity, a factor that is relevant in pediatric and neonatal imaging.

Moreover, the portable radiology solution enables immediate review of images and supports seamless connectivity with hospital IT infrastructure, including PACS, HIS, and RIS systems.

The system also incorporates a robust generator and selectable detector sizes to accommodate various clinical requirements.

Additionally, it also features SmartRotate technology, which uses AI-based deep learning to automatically orient images aimed at improving workflow efficiency and enhancing diagnostic consistency.

DURAMI supports a wide range of product applications like skeletal, chest, and abdominal imaging for adults, children, and neonates. The wireless detection system minimises cable clutter and enhances infection control, which is crucial in high-risk areas such as ICUs and surgical wards.

The solution is designed to be adaptable for healthcare providers aiming to maximise operational efficiency, imaging quality, and return on investment, all in one compact unit.
