The government has also laid the foundation stone for a new sub-divisional hospital in Udaipur, which is expected to strengthen access to secondary healthcare by offering emergency care and diagnostic facilities.

Tripura has rolled out development projects worth INR 105.73 crore, strengthening healthcare infrastructure with a new sub-divisional hospital, a functional 50-bed civil hospital, and a technology-driven health system centred on Aadhaar-linked digital health records.

A significant component of the package is the newly operational 50-bed civil hospital, which has started providing services with all major departments in place.

The government has also laid the foundation stone for a new sub-divisional hospital in Udaipur. Once completed, the facility is expected to strengthen access to secondary healthcare by offering emergency care, maternity services and diagnostic facilities.

Chief Minister Manik Saha said Tripura is moving toward a more technology-driven health system.

He explained that a digital health card linked to Aadhaar would allow doctors to access a patient’s medical history with a single click, reducing paperwork in government hospitals.

The Chief Minister also highlighted several ongoing public health programmes, including the Mukhyamantri Niramaya Arogya Abhiyan, the Lab Network and the Stop Diarrhoea programme. He said the government is prioritising early detection of non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), cancer, Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and alcoholic fatty liver disease.

The Chief Minister also pointed to the recent 342 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) representing proposed investments exceeding INR 1.21 lakh crore across sectors, including healthcare and technology.

The latest announcement forms part of Tripura's broader effort to strengthen public services across Gomati district through 11 development projects covering healthcare, education, sports and government administration.
