Star Health Launches ‘Star Flexi’ with Three New Insurance Variants

Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Ltd. has announced the launch of Star Flexi, a new multi-rider add-on to its flagship product, Super Star.

According to Star Health, this development addresses the growing demand for flexible and affordable health insurance offerings that cater to diverse demographics, from rural areas to metro cities.
Three Variants with Custom Coverage
The Essential plan is designed for first-time buyers in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, offering a sum insured starting at INR 5 lakh. It includes coverage for single private room stays, daycare procedures, AYUSH treatments, home care, and organ donor expenses, and it offers unlimited restoration of the insured sum.
Additional benefits include a premium waiver, teleconsultation access, participation in the STAR Wellness Program, and optional add-ons like preventive check-ups.
The Preferred variant is aimed at urban families and professionals. It includes no cap on room rent, air ambulance cover up to INR 5 lakh, and a Health Booster offering 100% of the base sum insured after seven claim-free years. It also includes Premium Return—a refund of the first-year premium after five claim-free years, a Sum Insured Multiplier, and extended benefits like dental cleaning and home nursing.
The Secure variant targets experienced policyholders, offering comprehensive protection with features like no cap on room rent, INR 5 lakh air ambulance cover, unlimited sum restoration, and a Limitless Loyalty Bonus that adds 100% of the sum insured at each renewal regardless of claims. It includes access to STAR Wellness, claim-free incentives, and optional add-ons.
