Blackstone Eyes $500 Mn India IPO for AGS Health at $3 Bn Valuation
The proposed IPO, expected to take place in Mumbai, could value AGS Health at as much as $3 billion.
Blackstone Inc. has initiated discussions with investment banks for a potential initial public offering (IPO) of its AGS Health Pvt. Ltd. unit in India, aiming to raise to $500 million, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The proposed IPO, expected to take place in Mumbai, could value AGS Health at as much as $3 billion. The offering is likely to include a combination of newly issued shares and secondary sales by existing investors. Blackstone is expected to appoint advisors in the coming weeks and may file a draft prospectus in the next few months.
Discussions remain at an early stage, and key details such as the final size and structure of the offering may change. Blackstone has declined to comment on the development.
AGS Health, founded in Chennai in 2011, provides revenue cycle management services, including medical billing, coding, and analytics to large healthcare organizations in the United States. The company moved its headquarters to Washington, DC, and expanded its global footprint with operations in the Philippines in 2023. It currently employs over 12,000 people and serves more than 150 clients.
Blackstone acquired AGS Health in 2025 from EQT AB, which had gained control of the asset through its acquisition of Baring Private Equity Asia in 2022.
The potential listing comes at a time when India’s primary markets have slowed in 2026, with the Sensex Index declining by over 15%. Despite broader market volatility, healthcare-related listings have remained active. Recent developments include Manipal Health Enterprises filing for a public offering and General Atlantic-backed ASG Hospital Pvt. Ltd. also planning a share sale.
The AGS Health IPO, if finalized, would add to the pipeline of healthcare and healthcare services companies seeking to tap public markets amid sustained demand for outsourcing and digital healthcare support services.
