SPARSH Group Inaugurates 300-Bed Hospital in Bengaluru

The new facility offers a range of specialties such as orthopaedics, neurosciences, cardiac sciences, and oncology, and is built to support academic medicine and clinical research.
SPARSH Group of Hospitals has launched a new 300-bed quaternary care hospital on Hennur Road, Bengaluru.
The hospital, recently inaugurated by Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, is designed to deliver accessible, patient-centric care focusing on advanced specialties.
The new SPARSH Hennur facility offers a range of specialties such as orthopaedics, neurosciences, cardiac sciences, and oncology, and is built to support academic medicine and clinical research.
It features robotic-assisted surgical systems, AI-powered diagnostics, 3D printing technologies, and real-time data analytics for precision care.
During the event, Gundu Rao announced the government’s plan to establish day care chemotherapy centres in all district hospitals. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the initiative on May 23 in Mysuru.
“These centres aim to bring cancer treatment closer to people without competing with private super-speciality hospitals,” he said.
He also highlighted the importance of medical research, calling on private hospitals to enhance investment in R&D to make diagnostics and treatment more affordable.
Several prominent figures, including Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswami of Suttur Math, Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil, and Member of Parliament and former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, attended the inauguration.
“With the launch of our Hennur facility, we continue our mission to provide precise, compassionate, and affordable care. Equipped with robotic-assisted surgeries and AI-based diagnostics to 3D printing, we aim to make advanced treatment more accessible to our communities,” said Dr Sharan Shivaraj Patil, Chairman of SPARSH Group of Hospitals.
He also noted Karnataka’s growing capacity in medical education. “Karnataka now holds the highest number of medical seats in India, surpassing Tamil Nadu,” he added, citing investments in super-speciality hospitals and cancer care centres across the state.
“What’s encouraging is that cutting-edge technologies, like robotics, artificial intelligence, and next-generation medical equipment, are no longer confined to private institutions or big cities. With time, these technologies become more affordable and accessible, and that’s a huge advantage for public health. We must wholeheartedly welcome such innovations and continue to support the growth of world-class healthcare infrastructure across both public and private sectors,” Minister Rao said.
In addition to delivering care, the hospital will contribute to medical education and research and is projected to generate over 2,500 direct and indirect jobs. The SPARSH Group aims to scale to nine hospitals with more than 1,700 beds by the end of 2025.
