Andhra Pradesh Launches First Digital Nerve Center in Kuppam

The DiNC digitally connects all PHCs, CHCs, and hospitals on a single platform, enabling early detection, continuous care, specialist collaboration, and empowering ASHA workers, ANMs, and PHC staff with real-time tools.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has inaugurated the State’s first Digital Nerve Center (DiNC) in Kuppam, his Assembly constituency.
Developed in partnership with Tata MD and the Gates Foundation, the Digital Nerve Center will digitize personal medical records and initially serve 13 Primary Health Centers (PHCs) in Kuppam.
It will link the Area Hospital with these PHCs and 92 Village Health Centers, streamlining regional healthcare delivery.
While launching the facility, Naidu described it as a “gamechanger” and a model for the healthcare sector.
The DiNC aims to enable continuous health monitoring, offer early diagnosis, facilitate specialist appointments, provide personal counselling, and deliver a wide range of medical services.
The CM also interacted with PHC health officers and advised senior Medical and Health Department officials on further improving healthcare services.
“In the first phase, services are being introduced in Kuppam. The second phase will cover the entire Chittoor district, and the third phase will expand them statewide,” he said.
He also mentioned that the government is focused on digitizing people’s health records alongside enhancing healthcare facilities.
According to him, the government is spending INR 19,000 Cr on healthcare, and integrating technology can help reduce these costs significantly. He urged officials to explore preventive healthcare, real-time health monitoring, and cost-effective strategies, particularly for maternal care.
Virtual Consultations & Expanded Services
The DiNC will also enable virtual consultations, allowing patients to consult doctors remotely. It will integrate with the NTR Health Scheme and private hospitals, providing centralized healthcare services such as screening, diagnostics, and follow-up care.
“The Digi Nerve Center will ensure diagnosis, healthcare services, screening tests, and follow-up care, and it serves as a centralised hub for all public health-related information,” CM Naidu said.
Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav and other officials were present at the event.
The DiNC digitally connects all PHCs, CHCs, and hospitals on a single platform, enabling early detection, continuous care, specialist collaboration, and empowering ASHA workers, ANMs, and PHC staff with real-time tools. It aims to improve care for maternal health, non-communicable diseases, and geriatric patients.
