Reliance Foundation Hospitals has appointed George Alex as its new Chief Growth Officer, bringing on board a seasoned operator to steer pan-India expansion, strengthen clinical excellence and scale patient-centric, technology-led hospital operations across emerging and established healthcare markets.

In his new role, Alex has taken charge of enterprise-wide growth strategy, market entry and expansion, and the development of scalable operating models designed to support high-acuity quaternary and tertiary care across India.

The appointment comes at a time when Reliance Foundation Hospitals is deepening its footprint in advanced clinical care, digital health integration and patient-focused service delivery.

As part of his mandate, Alex is leading initiatives across clinical excellence, adoption of advanced medical technologies, innovation in patient experience and the creation of systems that allow consistent outcomes across multiple hospitals.

Alex brings with him more than two decades of leadership experience spanning healthcare delivery, telecom and FMCG.

Before joining Reliance Foundation Hospitals, he served as Regional Chief Operating Officer for Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh at Healthcare Global, where he managed regional operations and growth across oncology-led and multispecialty hospitals in key cancer-care markets.

Prior to that, Alex spent over seven years at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, holding senior leadership positions including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer.

During this period, he was closely involved in hospital operations, revenue expansion, brand repositioning and service quality initiatives at one of Mumbai’s most recognised tertiary-care institutions.

He holds an MBA from Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University and has completed the Advanced Strategic Management Program at IIM Kozhikode.

As India’s healthcare sector adapts to rising patient expectations, technology-led care pathways and ongoing consolidation, Alex’s role is to translate scale into trust and operational ambition into measurable clinical and patient outcomes.
