Park Medi World to Expand Hospital Network Across North India, Add 1,450 Beds by 2028

The expansion plans include a combination of greenfield developments and acquisitions.

North India's leading hospital chain, Park Medi World, has announced its plan to add 1,450 beds by FY28 across North India.

According to the hospital chain’s annual report for 2025-26, the planned expansion is expected to increase the company’s existing capacity of 4,290 beds, with a focus on Tier-1, Tier-2, and Tier-3 cities and surrounding markets.

Reportedly, the expansion plans include a combination of greenfield developments and acquisitions.

The strategy is expected to support the hospital chain’s expansion into additional markets while leveraging its existing regional network.

For acquisitions, the company will focus on hospitals with an existing capacity of 200-250 beds, with the potential to expand them to 300–350 beds.

Further, the hospital chain will prioritise facilities in state capitals and district headquarters, particularly those located near its existing network, the report stated.

Currently, it operates a network of 17 hospitals across 15 cities, of which 11 have been added through acquisitions.

In his message to shareholders, Park Medi World Chairman Dr Ajit Gupta, said, “Our journey began in 2005 with the establishment of Park Hospital in New Delhi... Healthcare demand is most pronounced in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, where rising incomes, broader insurance coverage and increasing awareness are reshaping patient behaviour. Our network is strategically aligned to this shift.”

The company reported its highest-ever consolidated net profit of INR 273.6 crore in FY26, while total revenue reached a record INR 1,679.4 crore.

In a recent development, Park Medi World has secured a PPP mandate from the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation to build and operate a 550-bed multi-super-speciality hospital in Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant expansion of its healthcare infrastructure footprint.

The hospital chain planned an investment of approximately INR 200 Crore to support the 550-bed hospital project.
