OMRON Healthcare & Tricog Health Deepen Collaboration to Scale AI-powered Cardiac Monitoring in India
Omron plans to integrate its ECG-enabled upper-arm blood pressure monitors with Tricog Health’s clinically validated, AI-powered cardiac triage service, Tricog CardioCheck (TCC).
OMRON Healthcare, a global medtech company, has deepened its collaboration with Tricog Health to advance AI-based cardiac monitoring device solutions across India.
As part of the collaboration, Omron plans to integrate its ECG-enabled upper-arm blood pressure monitors with Tricog's clinically validated, AI-powered cardiac triage service, Tricog CardioCheck (TCC).
The solution is scheduled to be rolled out at health centers across India from April 2026.
The integrated TCC system is designed to capture ECG data through OMRON Healthcare’s Complete blood pressure monitors with built-in ECG monitoring functionality.
The captured data is transmitted to the cloud-based platform and further analyzed by Tricog’s AI algorithms.
Based upon the AI interpretation, the system generates a three-level risk assessment within approximately 10 seconds, which is expected to support patient triage as well as timely clinical evaluation and decision-making.
In addition, it also enables healthcare professionals to access results via a dedicated smartphone application, enabling real-time assessment of patient risk while supporting decisions for further examination, even in the absence of an on-site cardiology specialist.
As per reports, cardiovascular disease represents a growing public health challenge in India, with the number of patients projected to increase from approximately 110 million today to 230 million by 2050. At the same time, access to specialized care remains limited across many regions,
By integrating ECG measurements into routine blood pressure monitoring in clinical settings, the solution is intended to support the early identification of patients whose underlying conditions may otherwise remain undiagnosed.
Furthermore, the system enables cardiovascular screening to be incorporated into existing workflows without significantly increasing operational burden, facilitating earlier detection and more timely referral for further evaluation.
The latest development is built on OMRON’s earlier partnership with Tricog to boost the adoption of AI-powered cardiac monitoring in India, including its initial investment in Tricog in fiscal year 2023.
Through its ongoing collaboration, both companies aim to scale access to advanced AI-enabled diagnostic solutions and support efforts to improve cardiovascular health outcomes across the country.
