Lilavati Hospital Unveils INR 700 Cr Multi-Speciality Facility in GIFT City

The project is expected to be rolled out in three phases, with around 120 beds expected to be operational in the first phase.

Leading multispeciality hospital in Mumbai, Lilavati Hospital, has expanded its footprint to Gujarat with the commencement of a new multispeciality hospital in Gandhinagar.

The new 375-bed multi-speciality facility has been built with an investment of approximately INR 700 crore. The project is expected to be rolled out in three phases, with around 120 beds expected to be operational in the first phase.

Currently, the hospital has commenced operation of the outpatient department (OPD) services with five consultation rooms and a nursing room.

Additional clinical services are expected to be introduced in a phased manner, gradually expanding into a full-fledged multi-specialty hospital.

Further, the hospital also plans to introduce robotic surgery across cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, and other specialties as part of the first phase.

Located in GIFT City, the hospital is designed to serve residents and the growing working population in India’s first operational smart financial hub.

Commenting on the new facility, Prashant Mehta, Permanent Trustee, Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, and Director, Lilavati Foundation, said, “The initial phase of Lilavati Hospital in GIFT City has commenced. We are starting with OPD and free medical camps.”

“This is our first hospital outside Mumbai. This is a hospital with 375 beds, and it will become operational in three phases,” he added.

The hospital is expected to offer a broad range of specialties and tertiary care services as it becomes operational, with a focus on improving access to high‑quality healthcare in the region.

In a parallel development, the Mumbai-based multispeciality hospital has announced an investment worth INR 1,200 crore for its first international facility in Mauritius.

The project will include a 200-bed hospital and medical education facility, with the construction already underway.

The integrated facility is expected to combine tertiary care delivery with academic infrastructure, with completion targeted within the next 18 months.
