L&T Vyoma & SRIT India Partner to Launch Sovereign Cloud for Digital Health Services
SRIT will make its entire e-health portfolio available in a software-as-a-service format, including its Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission-compliant and National Accreditation Board for Hospitals-certified E-Health System.
Larsen & Toubro-Vyoma, the AI-ready cloud and hyperscale data centre arm of L&T, has partnered with Bengaluru-based SRIT India to launch a sovereign, India-localised cloud platform, with a strong emphasis on e-health and digital governance.
The collaboration has resulted in the launch of SRIT Cloud, an India-based cloud environment powered by Vyoma’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology-compliant infrastructure, designed to ensure data sovereignty, resilience, and operational trust.
The initiative focuses on secure, high-availability cloud services designed to meet the needs of healthcare providers and government institutions.
Commenting on the collaboration, Seema Ambastha, Chief Executive, Larsen & Toubro-Vyoma, said: “This partnership combines our sovereign cloud infrastructure with SRIT’s proven expertise in GovTech and HealthTech. Together, we are enabling secure, high-performance cloud services built in India, for India, thus advancing the nation’s most critical digital missions”.
The partnership builds on the growing role of cloud computing in India’s digital health ecosystem, where large-scale platforms such as the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission are driving interoperability, electronic health records, and citizen-centric care delivery.
As healthcare systems increasingly rely on AI tools and AI chatbot-driven interfaces for patient engagement, clinical workflows and administrative efficiency, the need for secure, locally hosted cloud infrastructure has become more pronounced, particularly for public and regulated sectors.
Under the agreement, SRIT will deploy its healthcare platforms on Vyoma’s sovereign cloud, offering a fully integrated application-to-infrastructure stack.
This approach is expected to reduce complexity for hospitals, clinics, laboratories and government health agencies by providing application support, infrastructure management and scalability through a single cloud environment.
The model is designed to support mission-critical health systems with improved uptime, faster deployment and predictable performance, which are essential for large population-scale digital health programmes.
SRIT will make its entire e-health portfolio available in a software-as-a-service format, including its Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission-compliant and National Accreditation Board for Hospitals-certified E-Health System.
By moving these platforms to a SaaS model, healthcare providers can adopt digital health solutions with lower upfront costs while gaining access to AI-ready capabilities that support analytics, automation and patient-facing AI chatbot services over time.
Dr Madhu Nambiar, Founder & MD - SRIT India, added, “Partnering with Vyoma gives us a sovereign, high-reliability cloud foundation to deliver integrated solutions with assured performance, faster rollouts and proactive risk mitigation - strengthening our ability to serve millions of citizens and thousands of institutions securely and efficiently”.
Beyond healthcare, the collaboration also extends to SRIT’s broader GovTech and telecom offerings. Platforms supporting municipal governance, building approvals, fire permits and intelligent transport systems will be offered through SRIT Cloud on SaaS, PaaS and IaaS models.
