The wearable device uses advanced sensors to aid patients with end-stage and chronic diseases.
Sai Ganga Panakeia, an Indian healthtech company, has launched the next-generation version of its Ayurvedic-based wearable device, Docture-Poly in Hyderabad.
This device is the world’s first medical-grade wearable built on the principles of Ayurveda, integrated with sensor technology, for personalized healthcare.
The company projects that widespread adoption of Docture-Poly across India could save over INR 30 Cr in healthcare costs over five years, while benefiting millions of patients with end-stage and chronic diseases.
Equipped with advanced sensors including photoplethysmography (PPG), accelerometers, and gyrometers, the wearable continuously tracks vital signs such as pulse, heart rate variability, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
The data is transmitted via Bluetooth to a mobile app and analyzed on proprietary servers using machine learning algorithms such as Support Vector Machines and K-Means Clustering.
The platform then generates a personalized metabolic profile by mapping physiological data onto Ayurvedic doshas Vata, Pitta, and Kapha offering a digitally validated interpretation of traditional diagnostic methods.
Based on this profile, the system provides tailored recommendations for diet, herbal remedies, yoga, and fitness regimens.
Designed to function as a continuous digital health assistant, the device empowers users with real-time, actionable insights to proactively manage their well-being and prevent disease progression.
Beyond preventive care, Docture-Poly also supports chronic and critical care management, addressing a global healthtech market valued at over INR 500,000 Cr.
