Global tech giant, Google has rolled out a revamped Google Health app alongside Google Health Coach and Fitbit Air, expanding its health and wellness ecosystem.

The new Google Health app is designed as a central hub for managing health and wellness data across devices, apps and medical records from a single interface.

Google described the launch as the company’s “next era” of health-focused products and services. The rollout includes the Google Health app, Google Health Coach and Fitbit Air as part of a broader health ecosystem push.

The company says the tools are intended to give users more control over their health information and provide insights that can help them better understand and manage their wellbeing.

The Google Health app aims to simplify health tracking by reducing the need to switch between multiple apps, wearables and handwritten records. Users can pull data from smartwatches, smart scales, medical records, fitness apps and other connected devices into a centralised dashboard.

Google says users will be able to control how much data they share, opt in or out of specific features, and delete or export their information at any time. The company added that Google Health data will not be used for advertising.

The launch builds on recent expansions of Health Connect integrations across Android devices and new AI-powered tools in Google’s productivity, search and wellness services.
