Dubai Health Authority, KIMS Hospitals Explore Strategic Healthcare Partnership

The two sides discussed collaboration opportunities in specialised care, diagnostics, medical education, and scientific research.

Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), has recently met with a senior delegation from KIMS Hospitals Group, headquartered in Hyderabad, to explore strategic cooperation across various healthcare domains.

The KIMS delegation was led by Dr Rakesh Jalla, Senior Vice President for International Business and Partnerships. The two sides discussed collaboration opportunities in specialised care, diagnostics, medical education, and scientific research.

They also explored ways to enhance patient experiences and facilitate the exchange of medical expertise between India and the UAE.

A key proposal during the meeting was the potential launch of KIMS Group’s first international diagnostic center in Dubai.

According to the group, the facility would provide high-quality diagnostic services aligned with global standards, supporting Dubai’s broader healthcare goals.

The talks also included the possibility of referring UAE-based patients to KIMS hospitals in India for advanced treatment, broadening access to specialised services in areas such as organ transplantation, oncology, cardiology, and robotic surgery.

He welcomed the prospect of a strategic partnership with KIMS Hospitals Group, one of South Asia’s largest healthcare networks. He highlighted DHA’s efforts to offer an investment-friendly environment through advanced infrastructure and supportive regulations.

The KIMS delegation lauded Dubai’s openness to global collaboration and expressed strong interest in contributing to the emirate’s healthcare growth. They presented their portfolio, which includes 16 hospitals with more than 5,000 beds, covering over 25 specialties. Their flagship 1,000-bed hospital in Hyderabad is South India’s largest private facility and holds five major quality accreditations.

KIMS Group expressed its commitment to building a long-term partnership with DHA to improve patient outcomes, enhance quality of life, and help solidify Dubai’s position as a regional hub for cutting-edge healthcare services.
