Dozee Secures Indian Patent, Advancing Its Contactless Vitals Monitor

The company said the patent accelerates its vision to set a new standard in cardiac monitoring by deepening the intelligence of the sensing and modelling stack and enabling healthcare systems to move towards connected and reliable care delivery.

Dozee, a Bangalore-based startup, an AI-powered contactless Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and Early Warning System, has secured an Indian patent for its system and method for determining myocardial performance.

Founded in 2015 by Mudit Dandwate (CEO) and Gaurav Parachani (CTO), the team has developed a contactless, non-invasive vitals monitor that turns any hospital bed into a step-down ICU.

The mattress-based sensor captures micro-vibrations created by the heart and lungs that Dozee's artificial intelligence algorithms analyze to flag abnormalities and send warnings to care teams before conditions turn critical.

Mr Parachani, CTO & Co-founder, said the goal is to ensure patients are monitored comfortably while alerting doctors before conditions become critical.

Dozee has deployed its contactless vitals monitor across over 300 care settings in India, the US, the Middle East, and Africa, with more than USD 10 million raised to date.

The grant of this patent further strengthens the scientific depth of Dozee's sensing and modelling stack to support its long-term vision in establishing a new benchmark in AI-enabled cardiac monitoring.

The company said the patent accelerates its vision to set a new standard in cardiac monitoring by deepening the intelligence of the sensing and modelling stack and enabling healthcare systems to move towards connected and reliable care delivery.

As part of its connected-care strategy, Dozee also offers the eSmartClinic platform, which converts regular wards into digitally monitored units with continuous vital tracking and automated alerts, delivering ICU-grade oversight while easing clinical workload.

Earlier this year, Dozee raised approximately $8.3 million (INR 71.5 Cr) in a mix of equity and debt to fuel its global expansion and strengthen research and development efforts. The funding round saw participation from Temasek Trust's impact-first investment vehicle C3H, Stockhausen International Pte, and undisclosed strategic investors.

The healthtech startup also has a product called Dozee Shravan, an AI-powered remote health monitoring service aimed at helping non-resident Indians (NRIs) keep track of their parents' health in India.
