Curapod Launches India’s First Personalized Wearable for Drug-Free Pain Relief
The device uses medical-grade photobiomodulation technology, delivering red and near-infrared light to stimulate cellular repair, reduce inflammation and support faster recovery.
Curapod by Litemed India, a Telangana-based startup, has launched India’s first personalized wearable for non-invasive, drug-free pain management, bringing a clinically validated, Made-in-India solution to consumers and care providers seeking everyday relief from musculoskeletal pain.
The wearable has been registered with both the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation and the US Food and Drug Administration.
Designed to address over 30 pain conditions ranging from chronic back and knee pain to arthritis, tendonitis, sports injuries and routine muscular strain, the device is already seeing adoption across physiotherapy centres, wellness clinics and among early consumers.
“Curapod’s adaptive system adjusts intensity based on user comfort, offering consistent and targeted pain relief. This data-driven approach allows clinicians to monitor progress remotely, refine therapy programs and deliver measurable outcomes, making it the first wearable in India to integrate clinical precision with everyday usability,” said Surya Maguluri, Founder & Chief Technology Officer, Curapod, backed by Litemed India.
India’s pain management landscape has traditionally relied on medication, topical applications, or clinic-based therapies, with limited access to personalised, at-home solutions.
Against this backdrop, Curapod positions itself at the intersection of digital health, wearables and non-invasive therapy, targeting users looking for clinically backed alternatives without the risks of long-term drug use.
The device uses medical-grade photobiomodulation technology, delivering red and near-infrared light to stimulate cellular repair, reduce inflammation and support faster recovery.
An adaptive engine dynamically adjusts therapy intensity in real time based on muscle response, with users often reporting relief within 30 minutes of use.
Personalisation is further supported through a companion mobile app that customises therapy plans, tracks usage and pain trends, and enables remote monitoring.
“From operations to delivery, we focused on building trust, accessibility, and reliability. By manufacturing entirely in India and partnering with wellness chains and physiotherapy networks, we ensure the device reaches users consistently and efficiently, including in tier-2 & 3 cities. Our goal is to make clinically validated, non-invasive pain relief widely accessible without compromising quality or affordability,” said Sri Velliyur, Co-Founder & CEO, Curapod, backed by Litemed India.
