Apollo Launches Smart Connected Ambulance for Real-Time Emergency Response

Smart and digitally equipped ambulances are increasingly being adopted in India to assist emergency teams in relaying patient information to hospitals during transit

Apollo Hospitals has rolled out its Smart Connected Ambulance, designed to support faster emergency response, real-time monitoring, and expert care from the first minute of patient contact.

The new ambulance was formally introduced in the presence of Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals; Madhu Sasidhar, President and CEO, Hospital Division, Apollo Hospitals; and Dr. Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals.

Smart and digitally equipped ambulances are increasingly being adopted in India to assist emergency teams in relaying patient information to hospitals during transit. Such systems are used to improve coordination between ambulance crews and hospital emergency departments, ensuring treatment can begin as soon as the patient arrives.

Apollo’s new deployment adds to the broader movement towards digital and connected emergency medical transport in the country.

Last month, SumeetSSG and Apollo Hospitals' Group’s URLife and MedSkills announced a collaboration to enhance Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services (MEMS 108) capabilities across the state. Under the agreement, URLife sought to recruit over 2,300 qualified doctors, while Apollo MedSkills sought to provide specialized training to more than 4,500 personnel.

This initiative is aimed at improving the quality, speed, and efficiency of emergency medical response across urban and rural areas.
