Apollo Hospital Sonarpur Appoints Debjyoti Ghosh as Chief Operating Officer

With over a decade of leadership experience in hospital operations, Ghosh has been associated with several reputed healthcare institutions across India and abroad.

Apollo Hospital Sonarpur, Kolkata has announced the appointment of Debjyoti Ghosh as its new Chief Operating Officer.

With over a decade of leadership experience in hospital operations, Ghosh has been associated with several reputed healthcare institutions across India and abroad.

Prior to this, Ghosh served as Hospital Director at Manipal Hospitals (MHEPL), Kolkata from September 2024 to August 2025, where he led the unit’s P&L operations, business planning, and performance initiatives.

His leadership at Manipal Hospitals followed a key role at Medica Superspecialty Hospital, Kolkata, where he served as Vice President – Operations & Unit Head between June 2023 and September 2024. He was instrumental in managing the transition of Medica Superspecialty Hospital to Manipal Hospitals and also oversaw operations at the group’s Ranchi unit.

Before his tenure with Medica and Manipal, Ghosh worked with Paras Health, Udaipur as Unit Head, handling business strategy and administration.

He has also held an international leadership role as Country Head – Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, and Sri Lanka with Stemz Healthcare, a Netherlands-based multinational company, where he managed regional operations and strategic growth across South and Southeast Asia.

With a strong track record in business strategy, hospital administration, and performance management, Ghosh’s appointment is expected to strengthen Apollo Sonarpur’s operations and further enhance its patient care delivery and institutional growth.
