UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed the adoption of a unified national healthcare system that guarantees comprehensive medical care and health services for all UAE citizens.
The system will be implemented through a fully integrated national health insurance scheme covering all emirates.
According to the UAE Government Media Office, the new system includes the following key features a comprehensive national health insurance scheme for UAE citizens in all emirates. The scheme also guaranteed access to high-quality healthcare services for all citizens across the country.
As per reports, it will also put a stronger focus on preventive care and a shift towards a more sustainable national healthcare model.
Further, the scheme aims to enhance the efficiency and long-term sustainability of health services in line with leading international standards.
