SumeetSSG, Apollo Hospitals Partner to Strengthen Maharashtra’s Emergency Response

This initiative is aimed at improving the quality, speed, and efficiency of emergency medical response across urban and rural areas.

SumeetSSG has announced a collaboration with Apollo Hospitals Group’s URLife and MedSkills to enhance Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services (MEMS 108) capabilities across the state.

Under the agreement, URLife will recruit over 2,300 qualified doctors, while Apollo MedSkills will provide specialized training to more than 4,500 personnel.

This initiative is aimed at improving the quality, speed, and efficiency of emergency medical response across urban and rural areas.

Training and Deployment Framework

"Apollo MedSkills will spearhead the comprehensive training framework to ensure that all emergency personnel are proficient in life-saving interventions, advanced trauma management, and emergency response best practices," SumeetSSG CEO Sudhanshu Karandikar said.

As part of the rollout, SumeetSSG plans to deploy over 1,000 ambulances statewide, staffed with trained medical officers and drivers, to deliver rapid and effective care during emergencies.

The programme seeks to ensure that every citizen has access to timely, life-saving, free-of-cost medical assistance, reinforcing Maharashtra’s public health infrastructure.

Impact on Maharashtra’s Emergency Services

This collaboration represents a significant scaling up of the state’s emergency response network, combining recruitment, training, and strategic ambulance deployment.

By mobilizing thousands of trained medical personnel and expanding ambulance availability, SumeetSSG aims to reduce response times and improve patient outcomes during critical situations.
