ANIIMS Brings Online OPD Appointments to G.B. Pant Hospital Through ORS Portal

ANIIMS has initially allocated 10 Online OPD Appointments for each department through the platform.

The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS) has introduced Online OPD Appointments at G.B. Pant Hospital, Sri Vijaya Puram, through the Government of India’s ORS Portal, enabling patients to schedule appointments online before visiting the hospital.

The Online Registration System (ORS) has been developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) as part of the Government of India’s Digital India initiative.

Integrated with the eHospital ecosystem, the ORS Portal enables participating government hospitals to offer digital OPD registration and appointment services, helping organise appointments and patient movement before hospital visits.

With the new facility, patients no longer need to visit G.B. Pant Hospital solely to register for an OPD appointment. They can use the ORS Portal to select the hospital, department, date, and available appointment slot remotely.

ANIIMS has initially allocated 10 Online OPD Appointments for each department through the platform.

To book an appointment, patients need to access the official ORS Portal and complete the required verification. They can then select G.B. Pant Hospital, ANIIMS, Sri Vijaya Puram, followed by the relevant OPD or department. After choosing an available date and slot, patients can review the appointment details and confirm the booking.

Patients are advised to retain the appointment number or confirmation received through the ORS Portal or SMS. On the scheduled date, they must report to OPD Registration Counter No. 1 at G.B. Pant Hospital, which also functions as the ORS Counter, for appointment confirmation. The appointment number or confirmation message must be presented at the counter.

The Online OPD Appointments facility creates a digital entry point into the hospital’s outpatient registration process while retaining an in-person confirmation step at the hospital.

The service is available through the Government of India’s ORS Portal at ors.gov.in/orsportal/.
