Zeno Health Opens 75 New Stores in Maharashtra with INR 30 Cr Investment

The move is backed by an INR 30 crore investment over the year, allocated to store infrastructure, inventory, workforce expansion, and technology integration across its physical and digital platforms.

Zeno Health has opened 75 new medical stores in Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik, bringing its total number of stores in Maharashtra to 260.

The move is backed by an INR 30 crore investment over the year, allocated to store infrastructure, inventory, workforce expansion, and technology integration across its physical and digital platforms.

The expansion aims to increase access to affordable medicines in urban and semi-urban regions and is expected to create over 500 jobs for licensed pharmacists.

While Maharashtra has seen a decline in out-of-pocket health expenditure from 44.1% in 2019–20 to 38.1% in 2021–22 (National Health Accounts), gaps in medicine affordability and access persist. Zeno Health stated that it addresses these issues by sourcing directly from manufacturers and eliminating traditional pharmacy markups, offering up to 60% cost savings.

Siddharth Gadia, co-founder & CEO of Zeno Health, stated, “This expansion is not merely about increasing our footprint—it’s about extending our responsibility. We want to be present where care is needed most and where affordability can truly change health outcomes. With this investment, we are laying the foundation to serve 1 crore Indians every month, reinforcing that affordable and high-quality healthcare isn’t a luxury—it’s a right.”

Founded in 2017 by IIT Bombay alumni, Zeno Health has served over 30 lakh customers and claims to have enabled over INR 1,000 crore in cumulative savings on medicine bills. Its operations span offline and online platforms, including a mobile app and website.

Himanshu Bhavsar, chief people officer, Zeno Health, said, “Our mission to build a healthier and happier India is impossible without our pharmacists. Our work powerfully aligns with their core purpose — to use their knowledge to serve patients with care. This is more than just a job; it’s a chance to create real, meaningful impact in people’s lives every day.”
