UP Ayushman Bharat Hospitals to Shift to HEM 2.0 Standards from January
The portal has been provided by the central government, replacing the existing HEM-One system currently in use.
Hospitals empanelled under the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Uttar Pradesh have been directed to comply with the upgraded Hospital Empanelment Module HEM 2.0, with the new system set to go live in January.
The transition will require all participating hospitals to re-upload their details on the new portal for fresh evaluation.
The move links empanelled private hospitals to the HEM 2.0 platform of the State Agency for Health and Comprehensive Integrated Services, which will now be used for all empanelment-related processes. The portal has been provided by the central government, replacing the existing HEM-One system currently in use.
At present, around 6,200 hospitals are empanelled under the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Uttar Pradesh, including approximately 3,200 private hospitals and 3,000 government hospitals. While hospital information remains available on the older portal, all future empanelment and compliance processes will be routed through HEM 2.0.
Hospitals have been instructed to re-upload key documents and operational details on the portal, including fire department no-objection certificates and information related to patient facilities such as OPD services, admissions, treatments, diagnostic tests, and surgical procedures.
The SACHIS team will conduct inspections to verify compliance with the updated standards. Hospitals found lacking will be required to address deficiencies, failing which they may face suspension from the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
