This marks the company’s fourth acquisition in the last two years, strengthening its B2C presence in Ahmedabad.

Sterling Accuris Diagnostics has acquired Gujarat Pathology Laboratories, a well-established pathology service provider in Ahmedabad.

Founded in 2015, Sterling Accuris operates a chain of NABL-accredited pathology laboratories across Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. The company currently manages more than 75 laboratories and 300 collection centres across India.

This marks the company’s fourth acquisition in the last two years, strengthening its B2C presence in Ahmedabad.

Ankush Gupta, CEO, Sterling Accuris, said, “The diagnostic market in India is growing rapidly. According to recent research, the pathology segment is projected to grow at a CAGR of 14% between 2025 and 2030. Gujarat Pathology Laboratory is our fourth acquisition in the last two years. Acquiring Gujarat Pathology Laboratory is a strategic move that aligns with our growth vision, and I am confident this will elevate Sterling Accuris to new heights.”

The financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed yet.

Established in 1998, Gujarat Pathology Laboratory operates eight laboratories and over 20 collection centres in Ahmedabad, offering a wide range of diagnostic services, including hematology, biochemistry, immunology, and molecular biology. To date, it has served approximately two million patients.

Rajiv Sharma, Managing Director, Sterling Accuris, added, “Gujarat Pathology Laboratory has been serving Ahmedabad for the past 27 years, with a strong presence and reputation in the market. Our acquisition of Gujarat Pathology Laboratory will enable us to serve a larger patient base in Ahmedabad by leveraging their strengths in the B2C segment. This collaboration will not only strengthen our service network but also enhance the reach and quality of diagnostic services we offer across Ahmedabad, Gujarat.”

Sterling Accuris continues to strengthen its market presence with support from Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia, one of its key investors. The company has also invested in digital platforms to enhance customer engagement, including a multilingual chatbot, a mobile application, and centralized customer care systems.

In a similar development, in December 2024, Metropolis Healthcare acquired Delhi-based Core Diagnostics for INR 247 Cr, boosting its capabilities in high-end cancer diagnostics and increasing its presence in Northern and Eastern India.

In March 2025, the company furthered its expansion with the acquisition of Scientific Pathology, a well-established diagnostic chain based in Agra, for an estimated INR 55 Cr to INR 83 Cr.

Manipal HealthMap has also expanded strategically by acquiring a 100% stake in iGenetic Diagnostics, a Mumbai-based lab chain specializing in molecular diagnostics and critical care testing. This move enhances its portfolio of advanced diagnostic services.

These developments highlight the strategic consolidation trend in India’s diagnostics industry.
