Serve You Rx, a pharmacy benefit manager (PBM), has partnered with Amazon Pharmacy to deliver maintenance medications directly to patients’ homes.
The move allows Serve You Rx members to access online services, including transparent pricing, automatic refills, and round-the-clock pharmacist support.
According to the company, active prescriptions from Serve You Rx’s current home delivery service will be transferred automatically to Amazon Pharmacy without disrupting patient care. In parallel, patients requiring specialty medications will transition to Waltz Health’s AI-based specialty pharmacy platform starting the same day.
“By combining Amazon's customer-obsessed approach with Serve You Rx's deep expertise in pharmacy benefits management, we're able to offer members a convenient medication experience,” said Tanvi Patel, Vice President and General Manager of Amazon Pharmacy. “This relationship allows us to deliver not just prescriptions, but peace of mind, with 24/7 pharmacist access, transparent pricing, and the reliable delivery service customers expect from Amazon.”
While Amazon Pharmacy will manage maintenance drug deliveries, specialty patients will shift to Waltz Health’s technology-driven platform. The transition aligns with Serve You Rx’s broader effort to streamline the pharmacy experience across routine and complex medication needs.
“Our strategic partnerships with Amazon Pharmacy and Waltz Health represent a bold step forward in redefining the pharmacy benefit experience,” said Justin Jasniewski, CEO of Serve You Rx. “Combining Amazon’s world-class, customer-focused home delivery capabilities with Waltz Health's cutting-edge, AI-powered specialty drug platform, we're building a seamless, member-centric ecosystem that addresses the full spectrum of pharmacy needs, from routine maintenance medications to complex specialty therapies.”
This collaboration follows Amazon Pharmacy’s broader expansion in medication delivery. In 2024, Amazon introduced same-day delivery services in major cities such as New York and Los Angeles. These services covered common chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory illnesses.
Amazon’s infrastructure, which includes small facilities stocked with a wide range of medications near metropolitan areas, has supported rapid fulfillment capabilities. The company has also piloted medication consultation services with One Medical for elderly patients managing multiple chronic conditions. In some areas, Amazon offers drone delivery, providing eligible customers with prescriptions in under an hour.
While these programs are part of Amazon’s larger healthcare delivery initiatives, the Serve You Rx partnership focuses specifically on home delivery of maintenance prescriptions and access to 24/7 pharmacist support for its members.
