Salesforce has announced partnerships with HealthEx, Verily, and Viz.ai to expand its library of artificial intelligence agents designed for healthcare organizations, aiming to automate administrative and clinical workflows across payers, providers, and public health agencies.

The new integrations build on Salesforce’s Agentforce for Health platform and introduce six AI agents designed to support tasks such as patient referrals, electronic health record (EHR) updates, hospital logistics management, and infectious disease monitoring.

According to Salesforce, the agents function as a 24/7 administrative layer intended to reduce manual workloads and streamline healthcare operations.

Salesforce first introduced Agentforce for Health in 2025 as part of its broader push into agentic AI for healthcare. The latest AI agents are designed to assist with patient access, clinical research, and public health management. Capabilities include accelerating closed-loop referrals, explaining insurance deductibles and out-of-pocket costs, managing hospital facility logistics, and analyzing disease trends for public health authorities.

“We cannot ask our healthcare heroes to operate in a system that is constantly failing them with fragmented data and soul-crushing administrative work,” said Amit Khanna, senior vice president and general manager of health at Salesforce, in a statement.

The partnerships with HealthEx and Verily aim to create a unified health record by combining patient-controlled digital health wallets with clinical and lifestyle data from wearables and other sources. HealthEx aggregates patient records across care settings, including diagnoses, medications, lab results, procedures, and clinical notes, using standards such as TEFCA and FHIR.

Verily, part of Alphabet, contributes data from wearable devices, nutrition trackers, and laboratory tests, enabling the platform to integrate multimodal health information for predictive insights and personalized care approaches.

Viz.ai, an AI-powered disease detection and care coordination platform, will integrate imaging and EHR data into Agentforce for Health to identify suspected diseases and trigger automated workflows.

Several of the AI agents focus on patient and member services. A referrals and assessments agent can triage referrals, route patients to specialists, recommend health assessments, and schedule follow-up appointments. Another tool enables bidirectional data exchange with EHR systems such as athenahealth, allowing contact center staff to submit medication refill requests or update patient demographic information.

Additional AI agents support claims and coverage queries, hospital operations management, and epidemiological analysis for public health agencies. Salesforce said some tools are already available, while others—including referral triage and root cause analysis—are expected to roll out in June 2026. Data integrations with HealthEx, Verily, and Viz.ai are expected to become generally available later this year
