The health system has already deployed hellocare.ai's AI-assisted Virtual Nurse Rounding and Telehealth platform, Virtual Sitting solution, and AI-powered fall prevention models.

Saint Peter's Healthcare System is expanding its intelligent hospital room initiative through its partnership with hellocare.ai, adding AI-assisted patient safety, virtual care, and real-time communication tools across its inpatient facilities.

The health system has already deployed hellocare.ai's AI-assisted Virtual Nurse Rounding and Telehealth platform, Virtual Sitting solution, and AI-powered fall prevention models. According to the company, the technologies are already helping improve patient experience while reducing patient safety risks.

As part of the latest phase, Saint Peter's is rolling out intelligent digital door signs that display real-time patient and operational information outside hospital rooms. The system enables clinicians to quickly access details such as patient precautions, care status, and workflow updates, supporting faster decision-making and improved coordination among care teams.

"Our goal is to leverage technology in ways that meaningfully improve both the patient and clinician experience," said Jordan M. Tannenbaum, MD, MBA, MPH, Chief Information Officer and Chief Medical Information Officer at Saint Peter's Healthcare System. He added that the deployment of intelligent room technology and AI-assisted workflows is helping improve patient safety, strengthen communication, and enable more proactive clinical interventions.

The intelligent hospital room platform integrates AI-assisted monitoring, virtual care delivery, patient engagement tools, workflow automation, and digital room signage into a single enterprise system. The company said its AI models use computer vision to identify patient risk factors, support early interventions, and improve operational awareness across inpatient settings.

Linda Carroll, MSN, RN, RN-BC, Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Saint Peter's Healthcare System, said the combination of virtual nursing and AI-assisted patient observation is improving the inpatient experience for both patients and staff. She noted that the technology has demonstrated value by helping identify fall risks proactively while supporting nurses through virtual workflows.

Labinot Bytyqi, Founder and CEO of hellocare.ai, said the partnership reflects Saint Peter's broader strategy to integrate AI-assisted safety technologies, virtual care, and real-time clinical communication into hospital operations.

The expansion comes as healthcare organizations continue investing in intelligent hospital room technologies to strengthen patient safety, enhance clinical workflows, and support more connected inpatient care environments.
