The newly raised capital will drive deployments across 100 cancer centers across the United States over the next two years.

Based in Palo Alto, United States, RISA Labs has secured $3.5 million in funding to assist healthcare organizations in providing timely care to cancer patients.

Binny Bansal, Co-Founder of Flipkart, led the funding round, which included participation from Oncology Ventures, General Catalyst, z21 Ventures, ODD BIRD VC, and Ashish Gupta.

The newly raised capital will drive deployments across 100 cancer centers across the United States over the next two years.

According to Ben Freeberg, Managing Partner at Oncology Ventures, prior authorizations remain one of the least automated areas in healthcare, posing significant challenges for cancer patients.

He highlighted that 70% of cancer patients experience delays in care due to prior authorization requirements. In 33% of cases, these delays extend beyond one month, increasing the risk of death by 13% in specific cancer types.

RISA’s Business Operating System as a Service (BOSS) is a full-stack orchestration engine designed specifically for healthcare’s complex operational landscape.

BOSS breaks down intricate workflows into micro-tasks and delegates them to a network of intelligent agents across an institution's entire software stack, including LLMs, digital twins, and reinforcement learners.

This approach creates a parallel digital workforce, allowing institutions to double their capacity overnight by integrating digital agents; a 1,000-person team can operate like a 2,000-person one.

Kshitij Jaggi, Co-founder & CEO of RISA Labs, explained that as software tools proliferate, they increasingly burden healthcare professionals rather than streamline operations.

“BOSS is an AI OS built for the post-ChatGPT era—where work is about expressing intent rather than mastering complex tools,” he added.

At a leading US cancer center, BOSS reduced prior authorization times from 30 minutes to under five minutes.

In just a few months, it processed over $1 million in medications, freed up 80% of staff time, and cut administrative costs by 66%.

Founded in Silicon Valley by IIT Kanpur alumni and serial entrepreneurs Kshitij Jaggi and Kumar Shivang, RISA Labs aims to reshape oncology workflows using agentic AI and digital twins to enhance efficiency at scale.

Looking ahead, RISA aims to expand its platform across the broader oncology ecosystem, bringing AI-driven orchestration to operational and clinical workflows.
