Practo Expands Operations to US After UAE Entry

Practo has announced its expansion into the United States, marking its largest international move since entering the UAE last year.
The platform has seen strong early adoption in the US, with monthly active users crossing 300,000 within the first six months of operations.
Since launching in April 2025, Practo has onboarded more than 200,000 doctors and achieved an annualized gross merchandise value (GMV) run-rate exceeding USD 75 million. The company attributes its rapid growth to platform architecture, data capabilities, and comprehensive provider listings—factors that have previously driven scale in India.
Early traction in the US market has been strongest in dental and mental health services. Practo reports that over 500 doctors across 150+ clinics, hospitals, and independent practices are monetized through paid subscriptions on its platform. The company plans to expand into additional specialties over time, enabling patients to discover and book specialist consultations and surgical care through a single integrated platform.
Practo Co-founder and CEO Shashank ND said the expansion demonstrates that healthcare technology developed in India can address complex care navigation challenges globally. “Healthcare has long been organized around institutions rather than people. We believe the next phase will be organized around outcomes and informed choice,” he stated.
The company is also scaling its US-based team to strengthen local operations and accelerate onboarding of independent practices, clinics, hospitals, and large healthcare chains. Practo is evaluating strategic acquisitions to deepen provider networks and expand specialty coverage in the market.
Practo’s US entry follows its UAE launch in 2025, where it onboarded approximately 50,000 monthly active users and listed over 31,000 doctors across 3,000 clinics. These international expansions support Practo’s broader ambition to create a global healthcare navigation platform focused on data-driven decision-making and improved health outcomes.
