Policybazaar Launches AI-Powered Smart Health Face Scan, AiSHA

AiSHA also integrates personal lifestyle recommendations, stress and sleep insights, chronic condition tracking, maternity and baby-care journeys, along with doctor consultations and lab services.

Policybazaar for Business has announced the launch of AiSHA, an AI-driven smart health face scan that enables the capture of clinically relevant vitals in just 30 seconds with a smartphone camera by employees, extending corporate wellness from mere periodical check-ups to continuous, data-driven health awareness.

The solution offers real-time health indicators to employees through a quick, contactless smartphone scan, making preventive care part of daily life.

Policybazaar for Business, launched in 2021, is the corporate insurance arm of Policybazaar, serving startups and SMEs to large enterprises, hospitals, and healthcare institutions.

This launch comes amidst a backdrop of rising healthcare costs, increasing claim ratios, and growing burdens of lifestyle-related conditions in the working population of India.

AiSHA is a contactless AI technology that employs rPPG, analyzing minute changes in facial blood flow captured through a smartphone camera.

An employee can see all the vital parameters like heart rate, heart rate variability, respiration rate, SpO₂, blood pressure, stress index, facial age, and emotional state in a 30-second scan.

Future enhancements may include non-invasive testing of haemoglobin levels, vascular health and age, perfusion index, as well as derma, dental and oral screenings. These, over time, will be able to help identify diseases such as jaundice and cataracts early, thereby preventing disease progression and reducing unnecessary claims.

Sajja Praveen Chowdary, Head-Policybazaar for Business, said, “AiSHA marks a defining moment for corporate health in India. Thus far, corporate health benefits have been largely reactive, linked to hospitalization after ailments occurred, with only basic offline wellness activities. With AiSHA, this shift toward prevention is expected to become far more pronounced.

He further added, “The aim is to give employees an always-on, data-backed view of their regular health, enabling early detection of when a doctor visit or treatment may be needed. Early identification and timely intervention have repeatedly shown to reduce hospitalization length and, in some cases, avoid hospitalization altogether. This, in turn, should help organizations manage claims more effectively.”

Beyond this, AiSHA integrates personal lifestyle recommendations, stress and sleep insights, chronic condition tracking, maternity and baby-care journeys, along with doctor consultations and lab services.

The solution provides insurers with consent-driven, continuous insight into workforce health for more accurate risk assessment and appropriate targeted interventions guided by regulatory guidelines.
