PGIMER Operationalises Hospital Information System at Sangrur Center

PGIMER said the operationalisation of the system at Sangrur forms part of its broader effort to strengthen digital healthcare infrastructure across its facilities.

Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research has operationalised its Hospital Information System at the PGIMER Satellite Centre in Sangrur, marking a key development in the institute’s digital health journey.

The system has been made operational from today, with PGIMER describing the move as a milestone achieved at the start of the New Year. The Hospital Information System is expected to support the digitization of hospital services at the satellite centre.

Highlighting the significance of the rollout, Prof Vivek Lal, Director, PGIMER, said, “The successful rollout of the HIS at Sangrur reflects PGIMER’s focused approach towards comprehensive digitisation of hospital services. The system has been designed to enhance efficiency, transparency and patient convenience, and the same digital framework will be further strengthened and replicated at PGIMER Chandigarh to ensure uniform, seamless and patient-centric service delivery across all PGIMER facilities.”
