Narayana Health Insurance Expands Aditi Nationwide, Launches Aditi Prime Across 2,400+ Hospitals
Alongside the expansion, the company has launched Aditi Prime, a new plan providing cashless access to treatment across more than 2,400 hospitals.
Narayana Health Insurance has expanded its Aditi health insurance plan into six additional cities, Guwahati, Dharwad, Kolar, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, and Davanagere, marking its transition from a regional offering to a pan-India platform.
Alongside the expansion, the company has launched Aditi Prime, a new plan providing cashless access to treatment across more than 2,400 hospitals.
Aditi Prime is designed to streamline hospitalization by aligning insurance processes more closely with hospital systems. The plan aims to reduce approval delays, simplify discharge processes, and provide clearer visibility into treatment costs. It offers coverage of up to INR 1 crore for surgeries, while also including non-surgical treatments within the same limit. The plan includes zero waiting periods, subject to health check-up results, and provides private room coverage across its hospital network.
Previously operational in cities including Bengaluru, Kolkata, Shivamogga, Raipur, and Mysuru, Aditi initially focused on integrated care within Narayana Health hospitals. The model was later expanded through Aditi+, which extended access to over 21 Narayana Health hospitals along with a network of preferred partners.
With Aditi Prime, the company is scaling the model nationwide, significantly expanding hospital access while maintaining coordination between insurers and care providers. The move aims to address gaps in healthcare financing, particularly for the “missing middle”, a segment that falls outside government schemes and often faces barriers with traditional insurance products.
“Healthcare financing in India has long suffered from a misalignment between hospitals and insurers, leading to delays, disputes, and patient anxiety at the point of care,” said Sheela Ananth, Whole Time Director and CEO of Narayana Health Insurance. “With Aditi Prime, we are scaling a model where the hospital and the insurance system work together to deliver faster decisions and clearer coverage.”
Ravi Vishwanath, Board Member and Director, added that the approach focuses on aligning insurance with the delivery of care, particularly for underserved segments.
The expansion positions Aditi as a broader platform aimed at improving access to hospital care with integrated insurance processes across a national network.
