Mental healthcare platform Mitsu has announced the closure of a new investment round aimed at expanding its network of tech-enabled mental health clinics across more neighbourhoods in Mumbai, with plans to expand to other cities in India over time.
Sharing the update, the company said existing investors increased their participation in the latest round, while new investors, including Gaurav Agarwal, Sanjay Suri, Gaurav Bhatnagar, Hemant Joshi, and Manish Dhingra, joined the company’s growth journey.
“People often say money has no colour. I feel differently. When you're building in a space like mental health, who you build with matters deeply,” the company stated.
According to the statement, the company’s early supporters and investors believe in the need for accessible and high-quality mental healthcare infrastructure in India, with many having witnessed mental health struggles personally or through people close to them.
“As a founder, I couldn't ask for a better group of people to dream with while building Mitsu into something that can deliver both quality and scale in mental healthcare,” the company said.
The company also acknowledged its team and described the expansion journey as long-term in nature.
Mitsu operates through a hybrid mental healthcare model that combines in-person and virtual therapy and psychiatry services alongside its digital platform. The company states that it aims to address the growing mental healthcare gap in India through technology-enabled and outcome-driven solutions.
According to the company, Mitsu Clinics offer therapy and psychiatry services supported by the Mitsu App, which includes personalised self-care activities and clinician support. The platform also focuses on extending mental healthcare access to underserved areas and workplace mental well-being programmes for organisations.
