Medanta-Moolchand Heart Centre Launches Advanced Cardiac Care Services in South Delhi

The centre’s offerings include 24/7 cardiac emergency services for immediate care during acute cardiac events.

Medanta—The Medicity and Moolchand have partnered to establish the Medanta-Moolchand Heart Centre at Moolchand Medicity in South Delhi.

The centre aims to provide advanced and comprehensive cardiac care to patients and deliver a wide range of cardiac services designed to meet the region's growing healthcare demands.

The centre’s offerings include 24/7 cardiac emergency services for immediate care during acute cardiac events. Clinical and preventive cardiology services will focus on comprehensive assessment and prevention strategies for heart diseases. Non-invasive cardiology services will include preventive health check-ups. Interventional cardiology procedures such as angioplasty and TAVI/TAVR will also be available, along with electrophysiology and pacing for heart rhythm management. Additionally, the centre will provide cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical interventions.

Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director of Medanta, highlighted the increasing incidence of cardiac conditions in India, especially among younger populations. He said, “With cardiac incidents rising sharply in India, especially among the younger population, there is an urgent need to expand access to timely diagnosis and specialised treatment. Aligning with this need of the hour, the Medanta-Moolchand Heart Centre will enable individuals to seek expert cardiac care closer to home.”

Dr. Praveen Chandra, Chairman – Interventional Cardiology at Medanta, added, “The center will offer a full spectrum of interventional cardiology services, including complex procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, and structural heart interventions.”

The centre will host regular outpatient departments (OPDs) led by Dr. Naresh Trehan and Dr. Sanjay Mittal, Vice Chairman of Clinical & Preventive Cardiology, Medanta. Dr. Tarun Kumar, Associate Director of the Heart Centre, and Dr. Veenu Kaul Aima, Associate Director of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, will continue their clinical roles at the Moolchand facility.
