Manipal Hospitals to Build INR 700 Cr Multi-Speciality Hospital in Nagpur

Manipal Hospitals has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to establish a 350-bed multi-speciality hospital in Nagpur.
The proposed facility, which will cost approximately INR 700 crore, aims to enhance healthcare infrastructure and accessibility in the region.
The new hospital is projected to generate around 3,000 employment opportunities and is expected to commence operations by 2029. The MoU, signed in Mumbai, includes commitments from the state government to provide all necessary permits, approvals, and fiscal incentives to ensure the project is completed within the proposed timeline.
Dilip Jose, Managing Director and CEO of Manipal Hospitals, highlighted the significance of the expansion, stating, “I would like to thank the Government of Maharashtra for their support and for entrusting us with this opportunity to serve the people of the state. This strategic expansion aligns with Manipal Hospitals’ vision to make advanced medical care accessible to all. The new facility in Nagpur will bring high-quality, multidisciplinary healthcare closer to communities that need it most, reinforcing our commitment to equitable and impactful care across Maharashtra.”
The hospital will feature various specialized departments, including cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, and oncology. This expansion underscores efforts to strengthen regional healthcare infrastructure and provide comprehensive medical services to the local population.
The Government of Maharashtra’s support is expected to play a pivotal role in expediting the project and ensuring the efficient completion of regulatory and administrative processes. The hospital’s establishment reflects ongoing initiatives to improve healthcare access and service delivery across the state.
