Manipal Hospital Malleshwaram has enhanced its cardiology capabilities with the continued strengthening of its CATH Laboratory, in response to a rising demand for specialized cardiac care, particularly among elderly patients.

The hospital has observed a marked increase in cardiology referrals and cases, prompting a renewed focus on advanced diagnostics and interventional support through its CATH Lab.

Equipped with updated technology, the lab enables cardiologists to conduct accurate diagnostics and life-saving interventions with precision.

Dr. Ashwath Narayan C N, MLA, Malleshwaram and Former Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, stated, “Manipal Hospital Malleshwaram’s advanced CATH Lab reminds us how a healthy community is an integral part of our lives. To build a community that has access to the best facilities, we want to take every step required for the elderly in Bengaluru.”

The hospital emphasized that this upgrade directly responds to evolving healthcare demands in the region. The infrastructure supports Manipal’s interventional cardiologists in delivering targeted care, especially for seniors requiring timely procedures.

Adding comments, Dr. H Sudarshan Ballal, Chairman, Manipal Hospitals, said, “Our aim has always been to cater to every individual with proper diagnosis and timely interventions. Patient satisfaction with their requirements drives us to take more such initiatives.”

The CATH Lab plays a central role in the hospital’s cardiology department, which continues to handle a rising number of complex cases. Integrating infrastructure and medical expertise has allowed the hospital to improve response time and quality of care for high-risk patients.

With cardiac health remaining a key concern in urban centers, especially among senior citizens, the hospital’s recent move aligns with broader efforts to make advanced heart care more accessible.
