Lord's Mark Industries Buys 85% Stake in Renalyx to Advance AI-driven Smart Hemodialysis in India
Lord's Mark Industries, a diversified healthcare and technology group, has acquired an 85% stake in Renalyx Health Systems, the Bengaluru-based medtech company that developed India's first fully indigenous AI- and cloud-enabled smart hemodialysis machine with real-time monitoring.
The acquisition positions Renalyx as its dedicated R&D arm for kidney and liver care technologies, strengthening the company's push into advanced medical devices engineered and manufactured in India.
The stake will increase to 92% by March 2026, with Renalyx continuing to operate as an independent business unit.
On the acquisition, Sachidanand Upadhyay, MD, Lord’s Mark Industries, said, “Our investment in Renalyx is a forward-looking bet on the future of Indian healthcare, one where cutting-edge med-tech is designed, engineered, and manufactured in India for India and the world. Dialysis must move from being a high-cost, infrastructure-heavy service to a smart, connected, and patient-centric experience.
Renalyx will retain its engineering teams while leveraging Lord's Mark Industries' nationwide distribution, diagnostics footprint, and manufacturing capabilities to help drive market adoption.
As per reports, manufacturing of the dialysis machines will be done in partnership with Bharat Electronics.
‘’By bringing Renalyx into our fold, we are accelerating that shift. We see this as a transformative opportunity to democratise advanced renal care, strengthen Make in India innovation, and build medical technologies that redefine accessibility and clinical excellence at scale,” MD Upadhyay added.
Incorporated in 1998, Lord's Mark Industries operates in various businesses, such as healthcare, diagnostics, renewable energy, and printing and packaging. Aligning its growth strategy with the Make in India initiative, the company focuses on indigenous innovation for scalable and high-quality medical technologies.
And, Renalyx is considered the first Indian and sixth global manufacturer to design, create, and build a CE-certified, artificial intelligence-powered smart hemodialysis system.
The larger vision of Renalyx is to create awareness and facilitate the early detection of chronic kidney disease, and ensure access to affordable dialysis in varied care environments. It currently has manufacturing units in Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Mumbai, and has expanded internationally.
