The company says its AI agents can help these teams complete complex, compliance-heavy workflows significantly faster without compromising accuracy.

LogicFlo AI, a Boston-based artificial intelligence startup focused on the life sciences sector, has secured $2.7 Mn in seed funding.

The round was led by Lightspeed, with participation from several healthcare and enterprise AI investors.

The fresh capital will support the scaling of LogicFlo’s AI agent workforce across global life sciences enterprises. The company also plans to expand its engineering team and enhance integration with existing legacy platforms within the life sciences industry.

LogicFlo targets teams that are heavily reliant on compliance and information management, such as medical affairs, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, medical writing, medical information, and quality assurance.

The company says its AI agents can help these teams complete complex, compliance-heavy workflows significantly faster without compromising accuracy.

These agents operate across the life sciences value chain, assisting with medical writing tasks such as literature-based content generation and referencing, preparing materials for advisory boards, scientific congresses, journal articles, and creating compliant promotional content for commercial teams.

Cofounder and CEO Udith Vaidyanathan said, "The teams have terminal degree holders, but there is so much weight on compliance, and rightly so. These PhDs and academicians spend 80-90% of their time documenting, creating compliant scientific material, or doing what can be termed as iterative tasks. Only about 20% of their time is spent on tasks that use their expertise to make strategic decisions."

The startup noted significant efficiency gains with its early deployments, citing reductions in medical writing timelines from weeks to minutes and cuts in medical information response times from two weeks to just two days.

"While the rest of the world is focused on automation, LogicFlo is building AI tools to help people automate their work processes," Vaidyanathan added.

Arun Ramakrishnan, cofounder and CTO, explained the tech behind their solution, "LogicFlo AI agents are intelligent, composable, production-ready, and they understand the nuance of scientific work."

Founded by Udith Vaidyanathan and Arun Ramakrishnan, LogicFlo is developing AI agents designed to automate and improve the efficiency of scientific knowledge work, particularly in highly regulated industries.
