K'taka Gov Names Dr Bhaskar Rajakumar as CEO of Centre of Excellence in HealthTech & MedTech

His role will include promoting innovation, building industry partnerships and supporting the development and adoption of advanced healthcare solutions across the state.

The IT BT Department of Karnataka has welcomed the appointment of Dr Bhaskar Rajakumar as Chief Executive Officer of the Centre of Excellence in HealthTech and MedTech.

As Chief Executive Officer, Dr Rajakumar will lead the Centre’s initiatives aimed at strengthening Karnataka’s health technology and medical technology ecosystem.

His role will include promoting innovation, building industry partnerships and supporting the development and adoption of advanced healthcare solutions across the state.

Dr Rajakumar holds an MBBS and MD, along with an MBA, an Executive Development Program in Strategy from IIM, and a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy. He brings experience at the intersection of healthcare, technology and public policy.

The newly appointed CEO has been associated with multiple organisations across the health innovation ecosystem. He serves as Program Director at ARTPARK and is also a founding member of LifeCircuit. Further, he also works as an advisor to the Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre.

His professional work spans areas including public health, innovation programmes and ecosystem development.

The appointment comes as Karnataka continues to focus on expanding its health technology and medical technology capabilities through collaborations between government, research institutions and industry stakeholders.
